Project: Designers Against Coronavirus
Client: Croce Rossa Italiana
Type: Poster Design
Year: 2020

Designers Against Coronavirus is a project curated by Italian design studio CaroselloLab, to raise funds to fight the outbreak of Covid-19. The project consists of a digital archive and a book with contributions by designers, illustrators and creative studios around the world, who were all asked to design posters spreading awareness of the ongoing emergency.

As part of a select group of international design studios, Lundgren+Lindqvist was invited to contribute to the project. Our response was a series of three posters, each making use of alliteration through phonetically similar words aimed at illustrating the graveness of the situation. In vibrant colours, ‘Corona’ morphs into ‘Coroner’ while ‘Isolate’ spasmodically twists and turns into ‘Too late?’. The final poster echoes the indignation experienced by many across the world by spelling out ‘Virus’ and ‘Why us?’.

The full archive of contributions is available to access here and the book can be ordered from the Italian Red Cross.
