TSE Foundation is a charitable organization that provides financial assistance to people who are disadvantaged and excluded throughout the world. Based in Hong Kong, the foundation has, over the last thirty years, funded initiatives that promote access to education, better health care, and greater mutual understanding and transnational cooperation. TSE Foundation believes that China is poised to play a major leadership role in the transnational age and are working to foster a contemporary and accessible 21st century expression of Chinese culture ready to take its place on the world stage.
TSE Foundation approached us to redesign and to develop their new website. The main aim of the site is to provide background on the history of the foundation and on its current projects. We worked closely with Shanghai based photographer Robert Nilsson to build an archive of images documenting the activities of the foundation. The black and white photography and monochrome website is contrasted with a bright orange and bold use of the typeface Dala Moa from Commercial Type. The website is modular in nature and will grow over time with additional projects and more images.
