Casio Love is the brainchild of electronic music producer Odiggity, focusing on Jamaica flavoured digital music with a distinct early Casio synth sound.
For the cover of the Casio Love’s ’In Space’, a space themed digital dub EP released as a limited edition cassette tape, we acquired a vintage set of 50 Brooke Bond Cards from the early 70’s. These cards, which were distributed with the Brooke Bond Tea packets, came in themed series ranging from ’Butterflies of the World’ to ’Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles’. We found an acquired a complete set of 50 cards, entitled ’The Race Into Space’. The cards were individually hand glued onto the covers, making each of the covers unique. The actual tapes were stamped and numbered by hand. The tape sold out within hours of its release.
