Why is your website in English?
-Although most of our clients (with a few exceptions) are based in Sweden we do not want to limit ourselves to working only within the borders of our country. If you wish to get information in Swedish about a certain project or have other questions – please send us an email. There is a also a translated version of our presentation (in the About-section). You reach it by clicking the tiny Swedish flag to the right.
Most of your projects are within areas of print- and web design, do you also do consulting?
-Absolutely. In some projects we are limited to doing an illustration while in others we do everything from negotiating prices for media space to educating staff in CMS-systems or providing them with social media training.
In other projects we work with fellow designers and provide the frame work (code) for their designs when working with websites. However, no project of that nature is published on our website at the time.
How did you guys start working together?
-Well, after studying together at Munkebäck Multimedia College we spent a few years studying and working at separate places before meeting again during our second semester of English studies at the University of Gothenburg. At the time, both of us were doing some freelance work and as a couple of mutual friends (who both produce music) found a new studio they invited us to move in. After working separately on our own projects for a while we realized that we were a good match and that we had individual qualities that could be strenghtened by working as a unit.
Do you approach every project according to a pre-destined creative process?
-No. For us there is no a one-size-fits-all-solution since every project and problem we face is unique and needs to be handled accordingly. However, we have a few basic questions which we always try to find the answer to in the initial phase of a project. At this early stage, the communication between us and the client is of utmost importance.
The uniqueness of a project also applies to our prices – we do not have any set rates.
Most of the work presented on this website seem to be for clients in the music industry. Do you also take on corporate work?
Yes, we do. The reason why we work with a lot of music clients is that we are both DJs and club promotors. Inevitably, this has led to working opportunities for us as designers. If design is our first passion in life, music is definitely our second.
However, we do love a bit of corporate action and think every project is interesting when viewed from the right angle. We are also quite selective with what we publish on the website and it’s probably only about a third of the projects which we take on that end up on here. There are several reasons why some projects are left out. Either we don’t have any material to show (e.g. consulting, programming), the creative freedom has been limited or we just feel that we have already published projects that show our abilities as designers in a similar way. After all – we don’t want to bore our visitors.
